IT’S A SYNDET, NOT A SOAP

Despite their appearance, NIVEA MagicBARs are soap free precisely tailored to the needs of facial skin, avoiding the irritation and dryness caused by alkaline-heavy soaps. This is possible through a technology called Syndet, where the pH is perfectly optimised to the skin’s own pH level, leaving a softer and gentler sensation without compromising on cleansing capabilities.

What is so special about the new NIVEA MagicBAR face cleansing bars?

The new NIVEA MagicBARs, our first solid facial cleansers, are the most sustainable facial cleansers we have ever been able to develop. With over 100 years of skincare expertise, it was our aim to create a plastic-free product that cleanses just as effectively as any other. And we did: Its packaging is fully recyclable, the formula is microplastic-free and 99% or more naturally originating as well as 100% vegan, with no animal derived ingredients.

Are MagicBARs a soap?

Even though they look like soap bars, the NIVEA MagicBARs do not contain soap at all. Regular soap is alkaline and therefore has a high pH level. This means that it can be very irritating to the skin as it extracts its moisture drying it out in the process.

Looks like a soap but isn’t one, what’s their unique formula?

MagicBARs owe their gentle cleansing abilities to a special technology called Syndet. The pH of syndets is around 5, which is perfectly optimized to the skin’s own pH level. Hence, the MagicBARs gently yet effectively cleanse your skin and leave it feeling deeply cleansed and soft to the touch.

Are MagicBARs natural?

The MagicBAR products are certified with the global Ecocert® Cosmos Natural label, meaning that they are certified natural cosmetics with 99% or more of ingredients have natural origins. free.
